Controlling low frequencies is an acoustic problem common to many listening rooms. Low frequency sound waves tend to gather in the corners of a room. These “standing waves” create low frequency interference that compromises sound quality.

illbruck's SONEX Corner Traps are a simple, affordable solution to low-frequency sound problems. These deep, triangular, polyurethane foam corner traps are specially designed to absorb low- to midfrequency sound waves. They provide up to 12+ sabins of sound absorption below 500 Hz. Each 24" high by 12" deep trap fits snugly into corners, helping to absorb the long, low-frequency sound waves that acoustic wall panels alone can't absorb. The result: clearer, more precise and accurate sound.

SONEX Corner Traps are ideal for recording or project studios, music listening rooms, home theaters – any room that is used as a critical listening environment. These stackable traps install easily in room corners, and may be field cut for a precise fit. Available in charcoal grey polyurethane foam with fluted edges for superior performance.

Installation tips

For optimal low-frequency sound control, stack SONEX Corner Traps from floor to ceiling in all corners of room.
Always stack traps at least two high (48") to ensure adequate noise control.
For temporary installation, hook and loop fasteners may be used.
For permanent installation, mount to walls with illbruck's AcouSTIC™ adhesive.
