Church Solves Reverberation Problem with FABRITEC™ Wall Panels
Church staff tried a number of things to fix their acoustical troubles, but they just couldn't fix the three-second delay that turned the 2700-square-foot worship center into a reverberation chamber that distorted the pastor's message and music. "For a year and a half, we tried everything from hanging banners to stacking furniture, to redirecting the speakers," says David Bowman, Foothill's worship leader. "We knew we had a problem; we just didn't know how to solve it." The church brought in an acoustic products distributor, who helped them identify the problem as too much reverberation in the mid and high frequencies. Knowing how important music is to the church, the distributor recommended installing illbruck's FABRITEC Wall Panels because they would maintain the room's liveliness, while toning down the excess. Made of a core of illbruck's Class 1 fire-rated willtec® foam sandwiched between two 1/16th-inch fiberglass substrates, the wall panels have done an excellent job stopping the reverberation that was distorting the music and message of the church. illbruck manufactures a broad range of attractive acoustical ceiling tiles, wall panels, baffles, and other noise control products for commercial and industrial applications, including: SQUARELINE® Metal Ceiling Tiles, HARMONI™ and WHITELINE™ Ceiling Tiles, CONTOUR® Wall and Ceiling Tiles, FABRITEC™ Wall Panels, SONEX® Wall Panels and Baffles, and PROSPEC® Barriers and Composites. back to Facilities and Applications
